Wax and Silver Workshops
Create your very own, unique silver jewelry with the lost wax casting technique!
What to expect…
During the workshop, I will introduce you to different types of wax, tools and techniques and guide you through the process of your idea coming to life: From the first sketches to your final model. In a small group, we’ll spend around 4.5 hours together: With snacks and drinks, in a relaxed atmosphere, as you sculpt your piece by hand.
After the workshop, I’ll take care of the rest. Your design will be cast in Sterling Silver, I’ll clean it up, file, sand, hallmark and polish it – all the finishing touches – before your finished piece will be waiting for you to wear it.
The workshop takes place in my cozy atelier in Köln Poll, inside the Minhafaktur. It's a lovely experience to slow down, work with your hands, and create something uniquely your own. Whether you're making something for yourself or want to gift the workshop to a loved one – you’ll walk away with a piece of jewelry that’s completely one of a kind and that carries a beautiful memory.
Save your spot in the form down below or get a gift card for any date in the future.
I’d love to welcome you soon!

You’re invited to explore, experiment, and bring your own ideas to life in a relaxed and open environment. A respectful and as discrimination-sensitive as possible approach is very important to me.
The space is queer-friendly, and people with different experiences, bodies, identities, and needs are welcome. Anyone who does not respect this will be asked to leave the workshop.
No previous experience is required! You can ask questions at any time, take breaks, and work at your own pace. No one has to be especially skilled, creative, or fast. Mistakes and changes of plan are all part of the process — and sometimes they even lead to the most beautiful ideas. We support one another without comparing ourselves, and I’ll be there to guide and support you from beginning to end.

Language
The course is usually held in German. English-speaking participants are very welcome, and explanations can be repeated in English whenever needed.
Accessibility
There are six steps leading to the building, and a wheelchair ramp is available
There is space for a wheelchair or walker at the workstations.
The toilet is on the same level, but the room is relatively narrow
All activities can be done while seated
Some tables are wheelchair-accessible, and a suitable workstation can be arranged if needed
Individual breaks are always possible, and a quiet space is available for anyone who needs to step away
The group consists of four to six people. Some parts of the workshop can be loud, but hearing protection is available
There is no harsh or flickering lighting
The course can be adapted to your individual pace. There are no fixed goals, and the focus is on the process rather than performance
Support is available for tasks requiring fine motor skills, physical strength, or a wide range of movement
Support persons and assistance dogs are welcome
Parking is available directly outside the building. The “Poll Salmstraße” public transport stop is approximately a seven-minute walk away
Please don’t hesitate to let me know about any individual needs. We can then discuss the accessibility of the space, workstations, and techniques together. I’m happy to arrange any adjustments that may be helpful!!

Materials
During the workshop, we work exclusively with different types of modelling wax.
After the workshop, your design will be cast in sterling silver. Up to 10 g of silver are included in the workshop price. Each additional gram costs approximately €2.50, depending on the current silver price. You can weigh your model throughout the workshop, so you always have an idea of any additional material costs.
If you’re interested in having your piece gold-plated or cast in another material, such as gold or platinum, I’m happy to advise you. Just send me a message.
Design Possibilities
There are hardly any limits to your imagination. You can create rings, pendants, earrings, brooches, talismans, as well as small sculptural or decorative objects.
You will have enough time to develop and complete at least one design. Depending on your experience and the complexity of your ideas, you may also be able to create additional pieces, especially simpler ones, or at least begin working on them.
If you would like more information about prices or have any other questions, feel free to send me a message!

There are hardly any limits to your imagination in the workshop! A few things are unfortunately beyond the scope of the session:
Setting stones or casting existing stones into a piece
Using metals you bring yourself, reworking existing jewelry, or melting it down
Creating hinges, moving parts, or complex clasps
Making very fine, delicate chain links
If you would like to discuss ideas or possibilities for any of these outside the workshop, feel free to get in touch!
-
After the workshop, your design will be cast and the raw casting will then be filed, sanded, polished and hallmarked by me. It usually takes around four weeks in total for your piece to arrive by mail.
