I'm Emilie, a jewelry designer and silversmith based in Cologne, Germany. I began creating jewelry in 2022 and have been exploring different techniques and materials ever since. After deepening my silversmithing practice during my studies abroad in Tokyo, I started focusing more and more on lost wax casting and eventually built my own jewelry practice in Cologne.

My jewelry, to me, should feel alive and raw. My designs always represent a personal state of mind and often develop through the process itself in the relation of body and material.
I studied integrated design and love the interdisciplinarity of my practice beyond the smithing craft: The design of the jewelry, the creative direction of shoots, the graphic conception of this website and the creation of workshop formats and teaching methods.
When I'm not at the workbench, you’ll most likely find me in the street- and club-style dance cultures, where a lot of my inspiration stems from. Especially the way movement, rhythm and emotion can shape how something feels. Dance has taught me to stay curious, work intuitively and create from the soul rather than trying to make everything perfectly controlled.

STUDIO
I am located inside the Minhafaktur in Cologne, a shared house for artists and craftspeople. My great friend Ida is supporting me in the production.
Every Wednesday from 12–4pm I am at the studio to welcome you: For shopping, repairs, repolishing, resizing or simply a tea and a chat. Find me on Google Maps.

Each piece of this collection is fully crafted by hand in my studio, using traditional silversmithing techniques and lost wax casting.
REMIX
Each piece of this collection is created by combining silver chains, selected gemstones and pearls, carefully assembled by hand in my studio.
The casting and gold plating of my pieces takes place in Pforzheim, the jewelry capital of Germany, with the help of two long-established family businesses. -
Sharing my craft and encouraging other people to explore their own creativity has become an important part of my work. In my studio I host small-group workshops in lost wax casting and silversmithing, where you can experiment, learn new techniques and create your own jewelry from scratch – no previous experience needed.
I want the studio to be a welcoming space where there is room to ask questions, make mistakes, change your mind and work at your own pace. For me, making things together is also about connection, exchange and giving people the confidence to work with tools and materials they might not have tried before.
Story & Practice

My jewelry is made for everyone, regardless of gender or size. I care about creating pieces that can be worn for a long time, adapted when needed and repaired rather than replaced.
Working as a small independent studio also allows me to produce on a small scale and stay closely involved in every piece. Repairs, resizing and repolishing are part of that approach – jewelry changes with the person wearing it, and I want the pieces to be able to stay with you through that.

I love working with people from different creative fields and seeing what can happen when different ideas and practices come together.
The vast majority of the photography across my website was created together with Saskia Kinast, who has been shaping the visual world around my jewelry with me.
My work is currently available at five selected stores, which you can find here.
I’m always happy to connect with new people and open to collaborations with artists, dancers, photographers, designers, brands and other independent projects – whether that means creating something together, developing a special piece or finding another way to connect our work. I’m also always interested in exhibitions, publications and other opportunities that feel like a good fit.

At the moment, I'm continuing to develop new jewelry pieces while expanding the workshop side of my practice. I'm working new workshop formats, including private workshops for wedding, engagement or partner rings, as well as a female only silversmithing workshop, since feminist empowerment through collective craft is the topic of my design thesis.

To measure your ring size, wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimeters — this length equals your European ring size (e.g. 54 mm = size 54).
You can also measure the diameter of a ring you own, multiply it by π (3.14) — for example, 17 mm × 3.14 = 53.4, which is about a size 53. This method is a little less accurate.
For best results, you can ask to have your size professionally measured at a jewelry store – for example at my open studio times.

Most necklaces are offered in 40cm for a tighter fit as well as 45cm for a looser fit and come with a 5cm extension chain that allows you to easily adjust the size to your fit.

Measure your wrist closely where you would normally wear your bracelet. For a comfortable fit, choose a bracelet around 1–2 cm longer than your wrist measurement.

Sterling Silver
Sterling silver, also known as 925 Silver is a durable precious metal containing 92.5% pure silver, making it perfect for everyday wear without losing its quality over time.Most silver I use is sourced from a French supplier that uses 55-90% recycled silver.
18K Gold Vermeil
The golden products have a 3 micron thick layer of 18K gold → up to 30 times thicker than standard gold plating.
It is electroplated onto Sterling Silver, ensuring a durable, long-lasting finish that looks and feels like real gold while resisting water and wear.
Pearls & GemstonesI use natural, high-quality pearls cultivated in freshwater mussels. For a more sustainable process, most of the pearls are upcycled from vintage pearl jewelry, especially the pieces with petite pearls. Larger pearls are sourced first hand. The natural, semi-precious gemstones offer a variety of colors and unique patterns. They come from a German supplier of high-quality material that is a member of Fair Trade Minerals & Gems e.V. -
Take care of your jewelry by keeping it away from harsh chemicals and storing it in a dry place when not in use. Clean it gently with a soft cloth to maintain its shine and finish.

Your pieces will be shipped plastic-free and arrive in unlabelled, reusable velvet bags or carton boxes, depending on your picks.
